unveil the bible- Gods plan and will

God’s Plan Vrs God’s Will – Feasts of the Lord: Part 2

Strange topic for this series… I know. But it’s essential for a good understanding of the feasts. And a bit longer 🙇🏽‍♀️ and mind-blowing 🤯

Now God has a plan. He has a blueprint for His creation.

These feasts that He has appointed reveal the basic outline of His plan.

How, in the fullness of time, He started out with Jesus’ birth, death, resurrection, the church, the Holy Spirit and the plans for His second coming, glorification, judgment all the way to the finality which is the Jubilee of creation when God finally becomes All in all ( 2 Corinthians 15:28)

We have already connected some of the dots of these events to some feasts…like the Feasts of Passover and Pentecost.

Now I want to share with you an extra secret. This is needed if we are to delve in deeper into the topic Feasts.

Which is …

There is a difference between God’s Will and God’s Plan

unveil the bible - plan

To show you God’s plan. I need to Unveil how God works using His Will.

The Greek word for used for Will is “thelema

The word for Plan is “boulema

Now God’s Will is “in a way” a part of His plan. However, they are not the same.

The word ” thelema ” or will refers to something like a desire or wish .

But boulema goes deeper. It’s more than a mere desire. It’s denotes an actual plan, intention or outworking of that will or desire.

Lemme show you an example from Scripture:

In Acts 27,

Paul was on his way to Rome as a prisoner… When a storm rose up and crushed the ship into a reef.

When that happened, the soldiers were afraid that the prisoners would escape, they set a plan (boulema) to kill them all.

However 👇🏼

but the centurion, wanting (boulomai) to bring Paul safely through, kept them from their intention (boulema), and commanded that those who could swim should jump overboard first and get to land..

Acts 27:43

The centurion saw their plan and carried out his own plan.

Which was to save Paul.

Since, he had the authority, His plan was a success.

Notice that he didn’t blatantly inform the soldiers that he wants to save Paul. He gave a different instruction to help every prisoner and soldier survive… but his hidden goal was to save Paul.

That’s is how God acts. He always has a much larger plan ahead. This plan always succeeds because of His sovereignty as God.

However, He will express His will (thelema) or desire first. factoring everything into His plan, His will might actually be different from His Hidden Plan.

That will has the chance of not coming to pass because He factors in our “free will.” But take note:

🖊️ It never affects His plan (boulema).

Notice in the story, that the will (thelema ) of God was for Pharaoh to let His people go.

But strangely, God then hardens Pharaoh’s heart. So that Pharaoh will resist God’s Will 👀

Why?

Because while God’s will was to free His people immediately… God’s plan was a bigger.

God plan ( boulema ) was for Pharaoh to resist His Will, so that God can:

1️⃣ Judge Egypt with plagues for their poor treatment of Israel for centuries.

2️⃣ Showcase to Egypt, Israel, neighbouring nations, and you and I in the future how Powerful He is.

This is what God told Pharaoh:

But, indeed, for this reason, I have allowed you to remain, in order to show you My power and in order to proclaim My name through all the earth.

Exodus 9:16

The reason for which God hardened him 🤷🏽‍♂️

3️⃣ That the event of the Passover feast will happen as it did and celebrated for Israel all the way to Jesus in the future.

See the difference? So Paul says this about God and Pharaoh:

You will say to me then, “Why does He still find fault? For who resists His will ( boulema )?”

On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will say to the molder, “Why did you make me like this,” will it?
Romans 9:19‭-‬20

While you may read and think…oh Pharaoh is resisting God’s will. It was all part of God’s plan. His plan never fails

His plan always has time in abundance to fully reveal itself later in time or history. Don’t forget that God is not bound by time like us. He created it and uses it a lot to execute His Plans.

Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world…

Ephesians 1:4

A plan set in motion for you and I in Christ before the world even began… before Adam.. See my point of how God works with time?

The same thing happened to the rulers of darkness against Jesus around the same Passover period.

Killing Him looked like i was against God’s Will at that time. But we can now see how it was actually part of His Plan after the event happened.

That’s not what the the disciples and demons thought when Jesus was being killed.

I show you a secret of God’s ways:

“But we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom 🤫 which God predestined before the ages to our glory; the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory”

1 Corinthians 2:7‭-8

By doing the opposite of resisting God’s will, they actually fell into God’s plan. God had planned it all and factored every scenario.

The same goes with the terrible happenings in history, the present and our lives. when it looks like God’s will is not coming to pass and then boom 💥we fell into God’s plan.

And that is what will happen in the feasts that are yet to fully manifest.

Get ready!
